Our purpose is to bring joy to those we care for and that includes our team. It’s why we do what we do each day at Opal HealthCare.
The Opal HealthCare Academy helps us do this by providing you with different development opportunities to further your education so you can set and work towards achieving your career goals.
The Academy is structured around six schools of education. Each school offers a range of courses to suit different development paths - either with one of our leading educational partners such as Western Sydney University or Torrens University, or one of our internal bespoke programs.
Click on the school that interests you and create your own development path by choosing the most relevant courses to help you achieve each step in your career pathway.
NURSING & HEALTH SERVICES
The Nursing and Health Services school provides a complete career development pathway from entry level team member into practice and onwards to general manager and beyond.
The experience of living in an Opal HealthCare Care Community is defined by everyday moments that make a difference. Our Hospitality school is focused on delivering quality dining, cleaning and hospitality services that are best in class.
WELLBEING & MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT
The Wellbeing and Meaningful Engagement school sets us apart as we build the capability and capacity of our team to support our residents to live with meaning and purpose - because at Opal HealthCare we believe ageing is living.
Our Business Services school amplifies the diverse and fast-paced career opportunities available in aged care. If you’re looking to grow in Information Technology, Finance, Communications, Marketing, People and Culture, Administration, Customer Experience, Finance or other support services, our development programs will help you accelerate your career.
Our Research school focuses on undertaking research programs in our Care Communities to improve the way residential aged care is delivered and raise the bar for the aged care sector. We do this in partnership with tertiary education providers and other cross-sector organisations.
