Your smile as you assist the Lifestyle Coordinator to run activities is infectious and soon everyone is smiling. Operating relevant equipment and running programs show off your technical and organisational skills.

More than an Events Coordinator, your organisational skills ensure that everyone’s unique needs are met with a calendar of interactive experiences that cater to their needs and preferences. Your networking skills, helpful attitude and passion for care add to your leadership style to engage the lifestyle team and volunteers to deliver the activities with respect and compassion.
As the Lifestyle Coordinator, you lead by example - holding yourself and your team, plus volunteers, accountable to deliver the programs in a safe and effective manner. This means that you orient them to the Care Community and train them to use relevant equipment and run programs in a way that is aligned with Opal HealthCare values.
Because of all this, your Care Community’s lifestyle program is known in the wider community as enhancing the quality and enjoyment of residents in line with their needs and preferences.

You make things happen in your Care Community to bring joy to those we care for and under your strong empathetic leadership you have the trust of your team.
You lead by example and hold yourself accountable for your actions as much as you do your team. As you walk around the Care Community chatting with residents, you keep a watchful eye out because “the standard you walk past is the standard you accept” and you accept nothing less than excellence. You use each correction as a coaching opportunity to develop skills in your team.
Juggling all aspects of the Care Community energises you - from maintenance of a dishwasher to accreditation visits. The administration side of leadership is one you easily manage with our systems to ensure the team is able to care for our residents effectively.
Your warm personality and strong communication skills put the residents’ families at ease with their decision to choose our Community and they feel welcome every time they arrive. Care conferences, meetings, rostering and handovers are opportunities you take with the team to recognise excellence, share learnings and champion continuous improvement all to deliver safe and effective care to our residents.
