When it is about Infection Prevention and Control, you have the trust of the team and the clinical expertise and consultancy to provide advanced clinical leadership in the Care Community.
The higher duty includes direct and indirect care as required; working in collaboration with leadership in our Care Communities, at a local level (Care Managers, Nurse Educators) and nationally with the Clinical Services and Quality Team to support teams in the provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the speciality of IP&C.

Using your refined communication skills, you challenge the process yet encourage the team at the same time to ensure that the fundamentals such as donning/doffing of PPE and hand hygiene are compliant with legislation and best practice.
As the IPC Lead, you set up the team with empathy, resilience and compassion to practice person-centred care with respect to practice person centred care in the speciality of Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C) so they can bring joy to those we care for.

Juggling all aspects of the Care Community energises you - from maintenance of a dishwasher to accreditation visits. The administration side of leadership is one you easily manage with our systems to ensure the team is able to care for our residents effectively.

Your passion for clinical excellence and the aged care quality standards motivates you to work in collaboration with our team across the business as a senior clinician, advisor and an escalation point for clinical risk and quality compliance. 
As you monitor and review a quality management system, you challenge the process using your strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure practices are consistent with Opal HealthCare quality governance framework.
